In sociology, manners are standards of conduct that identify a person to be cultured, polite, and refined. They are like laws that set a standard for behavior, but there is no punishment if you break them other than social disapproval. Wikipedia says manners are "highly susceptible to change with time, geographical location, social stratum, occasion, and other factors.” Specifically, I would like to discuss table manners, the etiquette used while eating.
