Preparations
1Crumble raw meat into water in a large stock pot or Dutch oven.
2Add onions and garlic and all remaining ingredients excluding cheese and mix well. Bring to a boil; then reduce heat, cover and simmer for 3 hours, stirring occasionally.
3Remove bay leaves before serving.
4Ladle chili into bowls and top each serving with shredded cheese.
5Note: To serve Cincinnati style, ladle the chili over cooked spaghetti noodles and top with cheese.
