Cooking Perfect Pasta
Pasta should be boiled in a large pot of water (4 quarts to each lb. of pasta). Be sure to add salt to the water. There is no need to add oil - it keeps the sauce from soaking into the pasta when served. When it comes to a boil add the pasta. Check the pasta by tasting it...it should be chewy not mushy when done. Be sure not to over cook it! Drain pasta but but do not rinse it unless you plan to use it in a pasta salad.
