Italian Chicken Skillet

Depending on how you serve


  • 2 tablespoon oil canola
  • 1 pound chicken breasts
  • 1 count green pepper
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 8 ounce mushrooms
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 cup flour


    1. Rinse chicken; then pat dry.
    2. Combine flour and seasoning; coat chicken with flour mixture.
    3. In a large skillet, cook chicken in oil until lightly browned on both sides.
    4. Layer mushrooms and green pepper over chicken in skillet.
    5. Blend sugar into tomato sauce and pour over vegetables and chicken. Cover skillet, reduce heat, and simmer for 15 minutes or until chicken is tender. Remove cover during last few minutes of cooking so sauce will thicken.
