Fudgy Brownies

  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 6 ounce cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup sugar powdered
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 2 count eggs
  • 1/2 cup nuts chopped
  • 2/3 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 ounce chocolate unsweetened
  • 1/2 cup butter


    1. In a medium saucepan melt butter and unsweetened chocolate over low heat, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; cool.
    2. Stir sugar into cooled chocolate mixture in saucepan. Add the eggs, 1 at a time, beating with a wooden spoon after each additon just until combined. Stir in vanilla.
    3. In a small bowl stir together flour and baking soda. Add flour mixture to chocolate mixture; stir just until combined. If desired, stir in nuts.
    4. Spread the batter into prepared pan. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 30 minutes. Cool on a wire rack.
    5. Meanwhile, make Chocolate Cream Cheese Frosting. In a saucepan melt 1 cup semisweet chocolate pieces over low heat, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; cool. In a small bowl stir together two 3 ounce packages of cream cheese and 1/2 cup powdered sugar. Stir in melted chocolate until smooth.
    6. Frost brownies and cut into bars.
