  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla or almond extract
  • 1/2 cup sugar powdered
  • 3/4 cup nuts
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 1/4 cup flour all purpose


    1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
    2. Combine butter, sugar, and vanilla.
    3. Add flour, salt, and nuts.
    4. Roll dough into balls and place on cookie sheet. They can be placed fairly close together because they do not spread out.
    5. Bake at 400 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
    6. Cool for two minutes and then roll in powdered sugar.
