Calico Salad

  • 1 can kidney beans
  • 1/2 cup salad dressing french
  • 4 ounce pasta shells
  • 1 can green chilies chopped 4 oz
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 large tomato
  • 1 small green pepper


    1. Cook pasta shells according to package directions; drain, rinse with cold water, then drain thoroughly again.
    2. Drain and rinse kidney beans.
    3. In a mixing bowl, combine pasta with beans, cheese, tomatoes, green pepper and onion. In a small bowl or cup, combine French dressing and drained chilies. Pour mixture over salad and toss gently to mix.
    4. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
