Tostada Salad

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 package taco seasoning
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 head iceburg lettuce
  • 1 can beans kidney red
  • 2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 3 count tomatoes
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 package tortilla chips
  • 1 cup taco sauce chunky
  • 1/2 cup sour cream


    1. Saute ground beef in a skillet; drain off excess fat. Add taco seasoning mix, water; bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 10 minutes.
    2. Tear (or shred) lettuce into bite size pieces.
    3. In a large bowl, combine lettuce, beans, cheese, tomatoes and onion. Add hot ground beef mixture to salad ingredients and toss to mix.
    4. Place tortilla chips on individual serving plates; then spoon salad on top of chips. Garnish with taco sauce and sour cream, if desired (nutrition info doesn't include).
