Oriental cole slaw with ramen noodlles and sweet soy sauce flavor. Crunchy and sweet! Do not use the finely shredded mix. I use Equal instead of sugar.

  • 2 tablespoon vinegar rice
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 package cole slaw mix shredded 1 lb.
  • 1 package Ramen noodles
  • 1/4 cup sesame seeds
  • 1/2 cup almonds sliced
  • 2 tablespoon oil
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 4 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 tablespoon soy sauce

    1. Brown uncooked Ramen noodles in butter, discarding the flavor packet. When almost done add sesame seeds and almonds until they are slightly brown. Do not over brown almonds they burn quickly! Remove from skillet and drain on a paper towel. Set aside.
    2. Combine the dressing ingredients: oils, vinegar, soy sauce, and sugar or equal (see note). Set aside.
    3. Combine the slaw, noodle mixture and dressing just before serving. If you mix this ahead it will wilt.
