Stuffed Green Peppers

  • 1 cup rice cooked
  • 1 package onion soup
  • 1 can tomato soup
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 count potato
  • 4 large green peppers
  • 1 pound ground round


    1. Wash peppers and cut off ends and tops (dice and freeze ends and tops). Clean out membrane inside and set aside.
    2. Combine cooked rice, ground beef and onion soup mix. Mix well and stuff peppers with mixture.
    3. Place stuffed peppers in oiled pyrex baking dish. Put raw potato in center (this sweetens the peppers).
    4. Pour tomato soup over peppers and sprinkle with sugar. Cover with foil for first 45 minutes. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
