Yorkshire Pudding

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon lard
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 count egg


    1. Sift flour and salt together. Make a well in center and add egg.
    2. Mix milk and water, add 2/3 of liquid to flour. Mix and beat until smooth.
    3. Stir in remaining liquid. In a cast iron skillet, heat lard until it smokes.
    4. Pour batter into hot skillet and bake in hot oven (400 degrees) until firm and well risen. about 40 to 45 minutes.
