Sonoran Salad

This is a fabulous salad! It makes a great meal by adding Grilled Chicken or Salmon.


  • 3 slice bacon
  • 1 medium tomato
  • 1/4 medium onion red
  • 1 head lettuce Romaine
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • 3/4 cup oil canola
  • 4 package Equal
  • 1 whole avocado
  • 2 ounce cheese Feta
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 clove garlic crushed


    1. Wash lettuce and break into small pieces with your hands. Do not cut with a knife!
    2. Thinly slice the onion, dice the tomato, peel and dice the avocado, crumble feta, cook bacon till crispy and crumble.
    3. Prepare salad dressing (oil, vinegar, salt, garlic, equal, pepper)
    4. Toss lettuce and toppings with the dressing.
    5. Serve promptly. If you are making this ahead of time, do not add the avocado or dressing until just before serving.
    Do not substitute olive oil for canola oil.
